The Arizona Wildcats have found themselves seeded sixth in the south and actually flying low on many bracket maker’s radars. The Wildcats may be considered a dark horse or underdog in this south region, but everyone should keep in mind, they nearly defeated the West’s number one seed, Oregon Ducks in the Pac-12 Tournament Semi-Final. They are definitely one of under-seeded teams in the tournament, seeding lower than the south’s fourth seed California Golden Bears.
Starting Today, the Pac-12 will be hosting their men’s basketball tournament at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Arizona senior Gabe York posted 19 points in 1 half en route to the Wildcats 64-61 victory over the California Golden Bears
Arizona has the best home court advantage a team could ask for. The McKale Center is widely known for being one of the most difficult arenas to play at for an away team. In the last four years, Arizona posted a 50-1 record at the McKale Center with a 25-1 record against Pac-12 teams.
While the McKale Center may be one of the greatest places to play a home basketball game, the Wildcats can only manage to channel that McKale energy into one half. They can play a single half of extremely exciting basketball, and all of the sudden, they lose it the next half, or vice versa
